ummm…Did Someone Say Karaoke?

So my brother is over here tonight flipping through channels like he’s my husband and finds his way into Insight Cable’s On Demand Free Spot. Guess what he finds:

KARAOKE!!! Yep, I’ve got about 50 or so songs that I can play from my tv karaoke style. Looks like my daughter and I have a whole new activity to do in the evenings.

We use to entertain all the time at the house we owned before we moved into this house. We NEVER entertain here. First, the house is not really spacious enough for big throw-downs. Second, for the first year, most of our first floor was incomplete. The bathroom alone was a bit like a horror movie before we redid it. Now our supposed-to-be-finished basement is still not finished.

My house just isn’t where I want it to be socially speaking. Beside, entertaining was never the point of living here for me. Being in this house is more about rebuilding my inner-self—it’s the “Excavation of My Personal History,” or, at least, that’ll be the title of the memoir when I write the book about doing it.

But now I’ve found karaoke on my TV and couldn’t be more excited if I had found a $50 bill in my jacket pocket. Not only do I have a new mother-daughter activity, I’ve got a whole new way to annoy my husband. I give him two songs before he’s doing it himself.

It’s imperative that we get our basement complete now—there’s karaoke to be had.

I can’t believe you never knew about this. Madison and I do karaokee constantly. They change the songs out very frequently. Her fave performance of mine: Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me…Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me…don’t cha??

Try not singing that all day now…

Amy, Please share the channel. Not like Jan and I will be karaoking anytime soon, (There’s a bad visual) but I’d like to check it out. Maybe Janice would be interested!
